About me

Charles Wartemberg is a product leader with over 20 years of experience in the technology industry, having worked with some of the world’s most impactful companies, including Amazon, Microsoft, Netflix, and Square. He is passionate about driving innovation, investing in the next generation of leaders, and helping African and global companies unlock their full potential.

Charles shares his insights on careers, product management, and thriving at work through The Crossroads on Substack and @OnWithCharles on Instagram. He is also the founder of Nyansa.co, a venture focused on accelerating Africa’s technology ecosystem, advising companies entering African markets, supporting African founders, and investing in the next generation of leaders through mentorship and technology.

Charles is also a dynamic public speaker who has delivered engaging talks at organizations like Capital One, the University of Washington, the Ghana Investment Promotion Center, and the Center for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR – Ghana), and has been a guest speaker on podcasts across the USA and Asia. In addition to his professional pursuits, he believes in giving back and serves on the boards of the YMCA of West Seattle and the UChicago Alumni Club of Seattle, where he contributes his experience to foster growth and community impact.

As both an engineer and a storyteller, Charles combines technical knowledge with a compelling narrative style, aiming to inspire others by sharing his journey and the lessons he has learned.

He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University.
